">What were you struggling with before you switched to Rentvine with your software?
I'm Christine Goodin from Prandi Property Management located in Northern California. We manage approximately 600 units in Marin County. We were propertyware users for about 10 years before switching to Rentvine in 2023. It's been almost a year now and we've been very happy with this change even for our team members who are hesitant to change. Moving to Rentvine has been well received during the research phase of deciding which software to use. One of the managers in our office described Rentvine as feeling like we would be switching from a flip phone to an iphone. If you're standing still with your software, you're actually moving backwards is how we looked at it, including some of our team members and managers in this process helped create some excitement instead of dread.
A couple of highlights from our experience in switching to Rentvine, having access to Rentvine's knowledge based learning articles in advance of launching was quite helpful because we could introduce our rent bin to our team before the launch date and have them begin using knowledge based articles giving us time to become familiar and warm up as quickly or as slowly as we want. Another beneficial resource is the Rentvine user group on Facebook. That was a great help during the first few months and is even still helpful. Now, as we approach a year, accounting is the scariest part of any software transfer.
And Rentvine has a step by step process to help keep you on a timeline and transfer the information really efficiently and accurately. Owner and resident adaptation was also seamless. I would say that less than 10% of owners and residents combined actually needed help with accessing their new portal, setting up payment details, etc. You can also take advantage of industry partners to help through the data migration and on boarding process. There are resources that can help you specifically with auditing accounting details before during and after migration as well as assisting with transferring some of the customized data. Good luck with this process, it can feel daunting, but with Rentvine simpler and more efficient days are ahead.
