About the Job
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Product Designer at Rentvine. Candidates willing to spend some time in St. Louis, MO, and/or Estero, FL will be preferred.
The Senior Product Designer will lead the end-to-end design process for a Rentvine product pod, influencing and defining processes and systems that help deliver the design as the team and product grow.
About You
You love product work! You are a great communicator who creates a positive working relationship with development, research, product, and business leaders (and have some references).
You understand the big picture. You seek to fully understand problems and user needs and prefer to solve problems in low fidelity / digital whiteboards before getting deep into pixels.
You are full-stack. You’re experienced in planning and executing across the design lifecycle; using mixed methods user-research to understand problems and drive product discovery. You work through both low-fidelity iteration and high-fidelity prototypes and design documentation and handoff to lead teams.
You’re a Figma fanatic. You lead the conversation about design ops for your current team and you obsess over details and consistency. You’re a maestro of Auto Layout, component variants, variant properties, and variables (or at least know when to do it and when not to!).
You’re a Team Player. Comfortable and appreciative of giving/receiving feedback and articulating design rationale connecting to user experience data and KPIs. Ensures dev teams have detailed UI handoff documents for development that include states and annotations; Including technical feasibility considerations.
Context: The Senior Product Designer is responsible for supporting the end-to-end design process for a Rentvine product pod, including mixed methods research, low and high-fidelity product designs for implementation, and working directly with development teams to solve problems.
Experience / Background:
Experience in Mixed Methods user research (contextual inquiry, surveys, heuristics, session replays, and generating discovery-associated artifacts like Journey Maps, Empathy Maps, Roadmaps, etc. Familiar with NNG and other UX Research resources.
Advanced Figma user with experience in atomic design, component design, variants, variant properties, and variables. Figma fanatic, leading the conversation about design ops for your team, obsessing over details, and driving consistent design patterns. Coaches others.
Has a positive working relationship with development, product (business), and research (with references).
Has worked with Design System(s) in a team environment across design, development, and documentation standards.
Can demonstrate detailed UI handoff documents for development that include states and annotations; Including technical feasibility considerations.
Appreciates feedback (critique) and articulates design rationale that connects to customer experience and business KPIs.
